Not a fan of Batman Forever or Batman & Robin?,  It looks like Bruce Timm the creator of Batman: The Animated Series wasn’t a fan of the movies either.  In the episode “Legends of the Dark Knight“, three kids meet up with a flamboyant stereotypically gay character named Joel.  Joel says: “Are you talking about Batman? I love batman.  All those muscles, the tight rubber armor, and the flashy car, I hear it can drive up walls.”  Joel is in front of a sign that says shoemaker. This is clearly a reference to Joel Shumacher, the director of the horrible movie, Batman and Robin.
